On this episode, we explore how relentless advertising, social pressure, and easy access to goods trap us in cycles of comparison, debt, and distraction. We trace the history of consumerism, from post-WWII worker gains to the rise of the modern consumer and ask: how can we reclaim intentionality, solidarity, and genuine happiness in a world built to keep us buying?
