Jesus said that certain signs would follow those who believe: “They will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:18

While wintering on Malta, Paul confirms these words of the Lord, demonstrating His great love and power through many miraculous signs and healings. After blessing the people of Malta, Paul and company make safe passage to Rome in the spring.
