Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego placed their faith fully in God in opposition to their culture. As people of faith, they had enemies that hated them - causing them to be cast into a fiery furnace. God demonstrated his power by saving these men of faith, bringing glory to his name. We still have an enemy in this world. As people of faith we should expect suffering.
