It's something everyone expected, but didn't want to admit: the Indians and Francisco Lindor are no closer to agreeing to an extension than they have been. That was the sentiment when the All-Star shortstop announced to the media this week that negotiations were put on hold for the season. So the question is where do the Indians go from here? Do they start considering a trade? Can they still remain competitive after he's no longer on the roster? These are questions I try to address in this week's Byte Sized Baseball Cast.

Welcome to the inaugural episode of the Byte-Sized Baseball Cast with former baseball scribe Jake Dungan. In this first weekly installment, Jake discusses the Indians' official signing of slugger Domingo Santana to a one-year deal and why it can work well for the Tribe, plus the unfortunate knee injury and surgery for starting pitcher Mike Clevinger along with the sad, and hopefully temporary end of Jake's former employer, Indians Baseball Insider.
