Today’s guest is Craig Rice –
Craig joined the Payments Council in October 2013 after a variety of appointments in the intelligence and security sector spanning 28 years. During that time he held range of roles in deployments overseas and at home, providing advice to the most senior crisis management organisations as well as more tactical roles. He is now the Chief Security Officer for Bacs, Faster Payments Scheme, the Cheque & Credit Clearing Company and Paym. He and his team also support UK Finance, the largest FS trade association, with their work on Cyber. In April 2014 he published a series of research documents for Payments UK on Cyber Threat Intelligence for the UK Banking & Payments sector advocating an intelligence led, threat centric approach to cyber security strategy and the creation of a federated cyber threat intelligence service for banking and payments. He has also supported the Bank of England’s initiative to establish the what capability is required to develop a systemic cyber defence function for UK FS and contributed to UK cyber representation at the Financial Stability Board.
