BIG IDEA | Let’s restore and not destroy. • Galatians 6:1 (TPT)

Paul gives us 3 practical steps to restore someone.

1. SEEK Holy Spirit.

> Galatians 6:1a (TPT) “My beloved friends, if you see a believer who is overtaken with a fault may the one who overflows with the Spirit seek to restore him.”

2. Use GENTLE words

> Galatians 6:1b (TPT) “Win him over with gentle words, which will open his heart to you..."

> We can restore and not destroy one another with NEED.

N. Is it Necessary to say this?

E. Will this Encourage them?

E. Will this Edify them?

D. Will this Dignify that person?

3. Don’t let your SELF get in the way.

> Galatians 6:1b “Win him over with gentle words, which will open his heart to you and will keep you from exalting yourself over him.”

> Matthew 7:5 (NLT) “Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in friend’s eye.”

4. Ask Holy Spirit to help you find the GOLD in others.
