Surena Namdari MD, Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Director of Shoulder & Elbow Research at Rothman Institute and Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals discusses c acnes (formerly p acnes) and the challenges this organism presents in shoulder surgery. Often found without clinical infection, it nonetheless is prevalent in shoulder revision surgery and presents diagnostic challenges.
