Joplin Schools Superintendent Dr. C. J. Huff speaks to district faculty and staff at the opening day meeting and rally Monday, August 13, 2012, at the John Q. Hammons Center in Joplin. Huff's speech addressed the work done by the staff following the May 22, 2011, tornado that destroyed one-third of the city and the work that will need to be done in the future to get the district where it wants to be.
