all right guys this is the g minor natural scale and we've got a backing track here um we've got an open g uh a b flat c d back extension on that flattened e then the f back down to normal position first position and then the g f back extension d c b flat a and g
okay and the fingering is open one two three open one two four two one open four two one open okay um i think that's all you need to know really i guess the tricky bit is is really just getting scripts with that back extension that you're coming from the c and then the open d and get that back extension and then just come back down okay so it's not too bad we've done these um back extensions for this uh e-flat we've done lots of pieces on all my classes we've covered that already um try and do this by memory if you can now there are according to the uh grade two requirements you would uh for the long-term version i think and the other version you'd have to down and then different um directions bow movements for that and you finish on a nut bow on the opposite fire and then you're back down on the down bow on the long tonic an optional flare but when you do the slurred version you have you you're expected to down bow on the open g and then they're in couplet so so two notes so down up up down up up down up up down down up up down okay so practice both
and there we go and it's just really slowly at first so let me turn this volume up and i'll leave that on for a minute and you can practice yourselves
okay guys hope that was enough um keep at it i will do the minor melodic tomorrow and uh the harmonic we're working our way through this whole book um it's great fun i love my scales practice in different ways give it some uh jazz give it some pop rock give it some um you know give it some swing obviously that's the sort of jazz thing you could get more notes into one bow than two but for grade two um you've got to be a bit more prescriptive bye
