This really is not a bad book. I bought the book to review some of the C language. Often large gaps of
time pass between when I have a programming project to do. So, I wanted a thin brief book for review.
This book wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It covered most of the basics and nearly all the
program examples worked. The only thing this book lacks is creating user defined functions. One big plus was
that it covered graphics programming. That was something I didn't expect out of a book like this. A
little more information should have been provided on how to install or where to get the WinBGIm add-
on for MinGW C++ compiler. If this book would have covered user declared functions, I would have given it
5-stars. I hope the author will add user defined function and perhaps user defined header files in his next edition.
This book is terrible. Grammatical errors and nonsensical sentences abound
This book is terrible. Grammatical errors and nonsensical sentences abound. The author has only a tenuous beginner's grasp of C; his 'explanation' of some basic concepts is flawed. As others have said, the 5-star reviews must be fraudulent. No sensible reader could admire this book. It's a shame, as a knowledge of C is very relevant even in today's OOP world.
Three Stars
Meant for newbies.
it's true. learn C in a day.
this book is great. short and to the point. don't let the page count fool you. It's well spaced type for writing your own notes and clear examples. a great beginner programming book.
okay book
slim book. not much to it. it's okay. you are probably better off just buying the one for dummies which is what I am going to try next.
