Phlogiston is an LA hard rock band formed with the intent to reimagine the alternative rock aesthetic. The three piece met in college and have since played numerous shows around the bay area where they formed but have recently made SoCal their home. Upon relocating they have played a handful of SoCal venues, most notably the legendary Whisky a Go Go, and the Viper Room. They have produced one full length album. With influences such as Nirvana, Tool, and Alice in Chains, Phlogiston blends elements of heavy guitar riffs, complex drumming, and progressive bass arrangements.
