Music streaming reached an all-time high in 2025, with listeners logging over 5.1-trillion streams, 1.4-trillion in the US alone. Interestingly, however, most streamers are listening to older music; less than half of all U.S. on-demand audio streams (43-percent) were from tracks released in the last five years (2021 - 2025).
