Silence fills the throne room as as Strahd takes his leave. In stunned silence, the Investigator picks her way over to the shattered window and looks out into the perpetual night that enshrouds the ancient castle. A bolt of lightning illuminates the gray peaks below, and stands in stark contrast to the darkness pervading every corner of these halls. The Priestess stands motionless, a tempest of emotions raging within, while the Knight struggles to regain composure. They've faced worse odds in the past, surely. They've overcome worse threats together. But are they still together? The same threat that entombs this land in stagnation also threatens to drive these friends apart. Will they survive long enough to remain friends? Can they face the horrors deeper in the castle? What is that scribbling noise through the side passage?
