After Kyra and Lanister explain that their evaluator and other recruits had been taken by Zolair's minions, the group takes time to rest and prepare by washing clothes, blessing weapons, cooking fresh meat, and other various activities. They decide to follow the trail left by the captured Vigils in which they hope leads them right to their adversary. After a few hours of travel, the party sees the dilapidated destroyed town of Servitude set on the edge of a cliff with the dark tower behind it. Pinky is chosen to scout ahead. In doing so, she comes face to face with a massive mechical bull who can petrify with its breath. After a narrow escape and with knowledge from some insight that Opal has, the party makes a plan to try to make it through the village with coming to blows with the beast. After a distraction, the party makes it to an ancient church of Duruth, God of Tyranny. Upon finding a secret passageway, the group signals Pinky. She flies toward the church with the Bull hot on her tail.
