After warming themselves in the Tavern, the Party, along with Valencia, Cragborn, and Momouw (the Tower Vigils), sneak out of the city wall while Pinky gives a distraction. Opal listens in on a cryptic message from a leader Orc, and the party sees a strike force of mounted Orcs atop giant bats heading toward the town. Opal sees that the leader has half of his face turned black as the eye shines like a star, the same way the Demon Kruvust under Havnok looked.
