This week I started using an evening journal called Five Minutes in the Evening. I have never really used a proper journal before and so this one helps guide your thoughts so that you know what to write down. I came up with a little technique which I have found works for me. It's called the PEA approach. P = Point, E = Emotion, A = Answer. The point is the top line thought. The emotion is the thought explained or a little more in depth and the answer counter-acts the emotion, telling you that you are good enough. Just click play to see this in action.
I spoke to a guy that I met on LinkedIn this week called David Thomas. He is a public speaker and shared some of his top tips, including a piece of business advice. He said for you to close the deal on a sale you need someone that has the need, authority, money and urgency to buy your product/service. I break this down more and give a few examples on this in this episode.
Try things differently. A point in my diary that I cannot stress enough. Huge people have said "if you do what you've always done, you will get what you've always got" and thats so true. You have to try different things to see what sticks. And once something sticks, keep doing that, but also try new things. Something might stick better.
I talk about a lot more in this podcast so feel free to click play.
