In Romans 15:14 and Colossians 3:16 Paul mentions another practical way for us to express love for one another. Paul instructs us to “coach one another up.” Ok, he doesn’t say it exactly like that, but that is the gist of what he is getting at when he tells us to “admonish one another.” The word in the original language that is translated admonish implies to instruct or correct. That is what great coaches do, right? They correct the bad habits of their players by teaching them how to do things the right way. This is exactly what we should be doing for one another.
