This week on The ALTER Tapes, Sharai and Joe discuss Destinee McCaster’s ‘Cabbage’ (2023), a black religious fable that we wish was a little more adventurous. While we like the visuals, Sharai has issues with the pacing/editing, and we're not ready to forgive the script by Vincent J. Walker, which skimps on Mabel's dream.

Premise: On a desolate farm, a couple's prayers are answered after a visitor offers them a sinister deal. Blinded by their joy, they struggle to realize that what they once desired may lead to their own unravelling.
