The CPSC and Adventure Sports Inc have recalled the ceramic pulleys sold with Cabrinha Switchblade and Drifter kite sailing kites. These pulleys cause the bridle line connections to sever with a reduction in kite steering and control leading to possible injuries. About 1950 of these kites were sold at Kite Surfing stores including Kiteboarding Saint Petersburg and Best Pro Kiteboarding in Florida, Adventure Sports USA, and online at cabrinha.com and at other websites. Immediately stop using these recalled Switchblade and Drifter kite sailing kites and contact the place of purchase, an authorized dealer, or the Adventure Sports company itself for a free pulley replacement kit with installation instructions for the kites.
