Inglis recently served as the first U.S. National Cyber Director, in which role he advised President Biden on cybersecurity issues and helped develop a national cyber strategy. Before that, Inglis served as Deputy Director of the National Security Agency.

In this excerpt from the interview, Inglis discusses the risks artificial intelligence poses for national security, including:

– The use of AI in cyberattacks; 

– The AI arms race among United States, China, and Russia; and

– The potential use of generative AI to spread misinformation ahead of the 2024 election.
