"I listened to the 20 minute field recording which transported me back to my time visiting Brazil and Carnival in 2015. I selected some percussive samples, cleaned them up and arranged them into the beginnings of a groove, added a couple of layers of real guitar and added base, drums, piano and some other melodic synths. 

"I was inspired by the Brazilian rhythms I learned playing in a samba band and wanting to create something relaxed but joyful that I could imagine hearing back in the original setting of a cafe in Brazil."
