In 2004, a young man's body was discovered in Mokattam, Cairo, initiating a complex cold case investigation. Initial testimonies from security guards were contradictory, especially after one guard fled the scene, making him an early suspect. Forensic evidence and witness statements eventually led to the identification of the victim and the arrest of three perpetrators: a young woman, her brother, and her sister's fiancé. The motive was the victim’s attempt to extort the young woman using compromising audio recordings. All three conspirators were ultimately sentenced to death.
