As an American who calls England home (long story), Caitlin has lived on 3 continents and travelled to 35 countries, and considers herself a bit of a nomad. When a friend from "home" told her she was an Alaska girl at heart, she decided to find out for herself and shortly after finishing her Master's in College Student Services Administration, she accepted a position as a Resident Director at UAF, where she met her husband, Cameron Poindexter. This past summer, Caitlin was hired as the Early Honors & First Year Advisor at Alaska Pacific University, where she works with students and colleagues who inspire her, surrounded by the serenity of mountains and woods. In her spare time, Caitlin likes to dog mush, clean, and sing (seriously), edit papers and people watch at airports.
