It would take a player a little more than 16 straight seasons of playing every single game, to break Cal Ripken Jr.'s streak of 2,632 consecutive games played. It's probably safe to say that won't ever happen. Ripken became the the all-time leader in consecutive games played on September 6, 1995 when he passed Lou Gehrig.
