✅ Playoffs with Purpose The team is playing for more than just wins this year. Coach Lentz shares the emotional story of Emma, a young girl who inspired the team during last year’s state run.

• In her honor, players now twirl after home runs—a nod to Emma’s joyful spirit.
• Fundraising t-shirts are available to support Emma’s mother’s mission: bringing birthday gifts to children in the cancer unit at Driscoll Children’s Hospital on what would be Emma’s birthday, May 25.

✅ Needville Playoff Preview A tough second-round test awaits with a best-of-three series:

• Game 1: Friday at 6 PM at El Campo
• Game 2 (and 3, if needed): Saturday starting at 2 PM at Sweeny High School Needville is a strong, battle-tested squad—many of the same players from the past two years, including a solid returning pitcher. Calallen has knocked them out before, and they’re hungry for revenge.

✅ Team Health & Hopes

• Lizzie Smith is nursing a hamstring injury—coaches hope for a quick recovery.
• Brooklyn heads to state competition this week for track, throwing at 1 PM Thursday. Coach Lentz praises her team’s preparation, focus, and energy—exactly what’s needed for a deep playoff run.
