And somewhere it’s the colonial era, a war is going on in 1944 Calcutta, but silently amid the mayhem a love story culminates between a Bengali Zamindar woman and a British General. She has fallen deeply in love with him and saves his life and starts living with him in his home town in County Durham, England. It’s only after her demise, her son finds many truths about his mother who could save only one thing from her past and made it her identity, her handmade Calcutta Pudding.

She had won third position in a short story contest held by Story Mirror in the year 2016 in the English Category. First position in writing a long poem held by the Enigmatic Magazine and in the year 2018 her name has been recognised among the top fifty winners under the prompt given by Author Anand Neelakantan of Bahubali fame organised by the Write India Contest, Times of India. She has three published books to her credit and her poems have been published in magazines like, Quillopia, Ink Drift, Kalaage and more. Her first poetry book ‘Stirring Spoonful of Emotions was published in the year 2014. In 2018 her second book of Poems and Musings with the title “Terracotta Dreams” was published by ‘Become Shakespeare’ and her third poetry book “The Devil’s Wife With Words Beneath her Cranium” has been recently published by Authorspress. She plans to write more fiction books in the future along with a play that she is working upon. She has recently turned 'Chrysanthemum Chronicles' her literary platform into a publishing house now which is different in its operating from the mainstream publication houses.
