Call For Backup: A Prodigal Son Podcast

Well Prodigies, it's the end of the road...for now. This week we are breaking down the events of the season 2 finale of Prodigal Son. Brianna and Kenedi join us as we once again debate whether Ainsley can be redeemed as Kailey attempts to moderate, we praise the actors and crew responsible for the series, and we even get in one final danger count. To cap it all off, we get emotional discussing what the show has meant to us while sending our love to the Prodigal Son fandom.

While this is the end of the podcast as we know it (for now!), we will still be covering Prodigal each week on Twitter, where every Tuesday at @Call4BackupPod we will continue #NerdsRewatchProdigal for season 2! Be sure to follow us for all the details, and thanks for supporting our podcast this season. We've loved making this show for you!

Prodigies, the end is almost upon us, and we are not okay. On this episode of Call For Backup, Brianna and Kenedi join us as we discuss Catherine Zeta Jones' undisputed MVP status, the Brightwell kiss of a lifetime, and that cliffhanger of an ending. We also discuss our theories for the season 2 finale and all the latest news on fan efforts to make season 3 a reality! Make sure if you tweet about the show, use the hashtags #SaveProdigalSon and #ProdigalSon to keep it trending! Don't clear out the junk in your trunks just yet, Prodigies. On this episode of Call For Backup, we discuss the show's perfectly selected music choices, U.S. Marshal Ruiz kicking butt and taking names, Friar Pete and his origin story, that small yet significant Brightwell moment, Capshaw with Jessica, as well as Jules defending Ainsley in a one minute dissertation, if you will. We also discuss how the season will play out with the Capshaw reveal, and with the promo for next week! We NEED a season 3, so make sure to live tweet along and use all the hashtags you can think of to get the show trending! The ES-CAH-PAY is upon us, Prodigies. On this episode of Call For Backup, we discuss our Brightwell excitement as Malcolm *finally* admits to his feelings for Dani and almost tells her how he feels, but unfortunately he just HAD to answer his phone. We also discuss Capshaw's heartbreak over Martin's betrayal, Gil rescuing Jessica, and the calculated escape that involves rat poison and a golden key card that had everyone talking. Not only that, but we converse about next week's promo involving someone getting injured with Malcolm racing in to save them, and we really hope it's not Dani or JT. Make sure to check out all our podcast updates, as well as live tweet with us during each episode on our Twitter account, @Call4BackupPod. As always, follow your favorite nerdy news site @nerdsandbeyond for the latest in all things nerd.

Thank you to Brianna and Jules for their help in the making of this episode!

Sit back, relax, and cruise along with us as we discuss ALL the ships that transpired in episode 9 of Prodigal Son (seriously there were so many). We talk about it all, from Edrisa getting some action with her handsome online buddy Blaze, Brightwell and Gilica setting sail once more, and the moment between Dr. Capshaw and Martin that we wish we could scrub from memory. On the last leg of our adventure, we continue cruising through Malcolm Danger Count with a surprisingly low count this week, but poor Malcolm and his luck with vehicles. Make sure to follow us @Call4BackupPod for all the latest on our episodes, and follow @nerdsandbeyond for your home in the latest in nerdy news.

Thanks to Jules and Brianna for their help with this episode!

Welcome back from hiatus, Prodigies! We missed discussing new material and were so excited in fact, that we may have had difficulty staying on topic (but can you blame us?). This episode we discuss Simon Hoxley's theatrical introduction, his interactions with the team and the Whitly's, Ainsley getting away with murder (or did she?), Martin's impending escape and his moment that shall not be named with Dr. Capshaw. Also, we finally bring back one of our favorite segments, "Malcolm Danger Count," with a *gruesome* death description from Kailey that you won't want to miss. Make sure to follow us @Call4BackupPod to live tweet with us during each new episode of Prodigal Son, as well as giving you the most up-to-date information on all things podcast. Finally, you guys know the drill... follow us @nerdsandbeyond for the latest in your favorite nerdy news.

Thanks to Jules, Brianna, and Megan for their help on this episode.

In this special hiatus episode, we discussed fans theories sent in by YOU! We also discussed a few theories from some of our staff at Nerds and Beyond, and let's just say.. they didn't disappoint. We don't want to give anything away, but there may be more plausible theories than others. We will be returning when Prodigal Son premieres after its 6-week long hiatus on April 13 at 9 P.M. EST on FOX. You can follow us at our Twitter account @Call4BackupPod, and tweet your reactions, thoughts, favorite moments, and more! We would love to hear from you! As always, follow @nerdsandbeyond for all the latest in nerdy news!

Thank you to Laura, Irene, Kenedi, LeeAnn, Megan, Brianna, Julia, and Jules for their help with this episode!

On this hiatus episode, we dive into some of our favorite, perhaps, wild theories we've discussed for this season already, and what's to come for the second half of season 2. Will our favorite ships (Gilica and Brightwell) sail? Will Ainsley kill again, and what about that Jessica book deal? We discuss it all and more! If you missed it, we also touched on a few of these theories in an article that's posted now at nerdsandbeyond.com, so make sure to check it out! If you're interested in submitting a fan theory for our next episode, you can tag us or DM us @Call4BackupPod on Twitter! Prodigal Son season 2 returns April 13 at 9 P.M. EST on FOX. As always, follow us @nerdsandbeyond for all the latest nerdy news!

Thank you to Kenedi, Brianna, and Jules for their help with this episode!

Buckle up, Prodigies! This week's episode entitled, "Face Value" has everyone coming face to face with some hard truths. We discuss Dr. Capshaw and Dr. Whitly's unique encounter, Jessica's sister Birdie bringing a whole new meaning to family drama, and Simon Hoxley's introduction to the show may have drastic consequences for the Whitly family. Not only is this the winter finale, but it's extra special because Lou Diamond Phillips (Gil Arroyo) directed this fantastic episode that forces Kailey to go on a tangent that is now entitled, "Kailey's Camera/Director Corner." Prodigal Son is now on a six-week hiatus and will be returning April 13, so we will be dispersing our content over the break by providing you with episodes every OTHER week. Make sure to follow us @Call4BackupPod for all the latest updates on the podcast and when we will be dropping episodes. As always, follow @nerdsandbeyond for reliable nerdy news.
