A happy New Year to everyone in this beautiful #Music community. I am pleased to share my trumpet rendition of «Call Me», a pop ballad composed by Tony Hatch in 1965. The first version was by Petula Clark. My favorite version is Astrud Gilberto's because of its smooth bossa nova-style rhythm. The lyrics talk about being willing to be by someone's side no matter the time or situation. Only in difficult moments can one discover who is truly loyal, honest, and sincere. I perform this piece in the key of A major. I love its soft and intimate melody with a moderate tempo and relaxed pulse. The challenge of performing it was significant because I had a couple of weeks of inactivity. I was sick with respiratory issues and some complications. Fortunately, after completing the treatment, my health has improved.

Un feliz año nuevo para todos en esta bella comunidad de #Music. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Call Me», una balada pop compuesta por Tony Hatch en 1965. La primera versión es de Petula Clark. Mi versión favorita es la de Astrud Gilberto por su ritmo suave al estilo bossa nova. La letra habla de estar dispuesto a estar al lado del otro sin importar la hora ni la situación. Solo en los momentos difíciles es donde uno puede descubrir quien verdaderamente es leal, honesto y sincero. Esta pieza musical la interpreto en la tonalidad de A mayor. Me encanta su melodía suave e íntima con su ritmo moderado, y pulso relajado. El reto para interpretarla fue grande porque vengo de un par de semanas de inactividad. Estuve enfermo de las vías respiratorias con algunas complicaciones. Afortunadamente, después de cumplir con el tratamiento me encuentro mejor de salud.

A new year represents a new beginning—an opportunity to do things better and to make the necessary changes to achieve our goals. Before the year ended, I wrote my goals and resolutions on a piece of paper, and although the year began in a turbulent way in our beloved country, my faith remains intact. Each goal has a specific plan and is already in motion. I have set spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual goals. One that I especially want to highlight is completing my certification in Backend Web Development. I am currently reviewing some of the technologies and applications required to strengthen my skills. At first, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of information, but I’ve realized that the key is to take things step by step, line by line, while using time wisely. Music follows a similar principle: a piece must be broken down and practiced gradually. Consistency is the path to success. Happy New Year 2026 to everyone!

Un nuevo año representa un nuevo comienzo, una oportunidad para hacer las cosas mejor, y de hacer los cambios necesarios para lograr nuestras metas. Antes de finalizar el año escribí en un papel mis metas y resoluciones, y aunque el año empezó atropellado en nuestro amado país, la fe esta intacta. Cada meta tiene un plan específico, y están debidamente en ejecución. Me he fijado metas espirituales, sociales, físicas e intelectuales. Una de las que quiero resaltar es culminar mi certificado en Desarrollo Web Backend. Me encuentro repasando algunas de las tecnologías, y aplicaciones necesarias para completar mis competencias. Al principio me sentí abrumado por la cantidad de información, pero admito que el secreto es hacer las cosas paso a paso, línea por línea, y con uso sabio del tiempo. En la música es similar, hay que desglosar una pieza, y practicarla paso a paso. La constancia es el camino al éxito. Feliz año nuevo 2026 para todos.
