As the campaign begins, three Harlem residents are brought together by a representative of the NAACP, Walter F. White. As he is an investigator, he brings the trio together to act as a problem solving group that can handle some odd jobs and some "odd jobs" that need help around Harlem, but are outside the capacity of an official investigation.
