We discuss the horrible consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, daring to speak out as honest intellectuals. Humbly emulating  Miguel de Unamuno when he said on October 12, 1936, reacting to a fascist crowd chant of "Viva la Muerte" (Long live Death), that "Callar es Mentir" (to keep quiet is to lie) We cannot remain silent because the future of Democracy is being contested right now in Ukraine, the emotional heart of Europe. No pasaran!!!
