The Holy Spirit combined several Scripture passages today. We began with Matthew 3:13-17 and the Baptism of Jesus where even John tried to talk Jesus out of it. Matthew recorded that all three, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit showed up for this wonderful moment. Isaiah 42:1-9 foreshadows the ministry of Jesus on earth. Here there is much we can mold our interaction with others in our daily lives. Acts 10:34-43 tells of the appearing of Jesus and the Holy Spirit to those seeking and taking the time to be in His presence. 2 Corinthians 3:17 reminds us of His freedom when we seek and abide in His Presence. Lastly in John 17:21 we are reminded that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one. For it is in our craziness or mess that we can witness to others and allow His message to shine through. When we allow Jesus to add His age old wisdom to our mess we get our Mess + His Age = a glorious MessAge. As we are aware of His presence and we are filled with His Love, we minister and spread Him to others. Just as our salvation is a gift, justice and peace are gifts from Jesus. In order for us to hold on to these gifts, we must accept His plan for our lives as our precious gift.
