When we pass away and stand before God for our final judgment, what is our churches stance on how those sins from which we have been previously absolved taken into account in the judgment? Are they treated as if they never happened, or is there an underlying "stain" for lack of a better word in which we still have to deal with?, Being a Doctor of the Catholic Church, St. Augustine seems a strange person for the Protestant community to hold in such high regard.
