How can we live in the joy of Christian freedom? Three questions from Galatians 5:1-15 that will help you grow and stand in grace:

1. What is gospel freedom? (v. 1)

A. Freedom from slavery to sin.

B. Freedom for life in Christ.

2. What threatens gospel freedom? (v. 2-12)

A. Any emphasis upon self-righteousness or works-righteousness. (v. 2-4)

B. Any minimization of the Holy Spirit. (v. 5)

C. Anything that diminishes the work of Jesus. (v. 6)

D. Anyone who hinders others from obeying the truth. (v. 7-10)

E. Any religious tradition that downplays the message of the cross. (11-12)

3. What is the result of gospel freedom? (v. 13-15)

A. We are born again into a new family. (v. 13a)

B. We serve one another not our flesh. (v. 13b & 15)

C. We are motivated by love to serve. (v. 14)
