Jesus summoned his disciples and chose 12 of them whom he named apostles.

Reflection: Jesus calls everyone. He is the one who initiates the call. The one who does the first move. Jesus said in John 15: 16 – You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures.
