ASMR is a sensory experience that triggers a positive feeling when to stimulated by sounds or movements.

Some people love the feeling of complete relaxation created by ASMR. The most relaxing ASMR videos include; • The sound of someone whispering • Artificial rain • Someone whispering in the ear • Very soft sounds • Soft hand movements • Someone brushing their hair • Someone combing their hair • Someone eating • Someone eating food at a table • Someone eating food in the kitchen/dining room • Someone eating food with their mouth • Someone doing makeup • Someone writing using a fountain pen • Someone writing on a computer • Someone eating an apple • Someone clapping • Someone blowing out a birthday candle • Some people whistling • A pencil being tapped/scratched against a keyboard • Someone washing dishes or plates • Someone brushing their teeth • Someone washing their hands • Someone tapping their chin

Others feel a pleasurable tingle on the back of their neck or a slight warm feeling. There are some videos that are less likely to trigger the great feeling of relaxation, for example someone using their voice loudly, someone shouting at you or someone who talks very fast.

Some people say there that ASMR relaxes them and helps them fall asleep.

It is believed that ASMR can trigger a pleasurable feeling in part of your brain called the primary motor cortex (PMc). The PMc controls things like pain, breathing, automatic processes, and more. Some researchers believe this area in the brain is larger in many people, leading to a harder time getting to sleep.
