In this message “Who am I?” from 1 Peter 2:4-12, we’ll discover God’s truth about our new identity in Christ, explore the spiritual sacrifices we’re called to offer, and learn how to live out our faith with purpose and integrity in a broken world.

In tonight's study, we see the importance of knowing who we are and whose we are to help us through seasons of worry. That our readiness for His return will make a huge difference in our mindset and thus impact our day to day life.

As we finish 1 Peter 1 and start chapter 2, Peter exhorts us to live a holy life amid the wickedness of this world. He reminds us that we were not redeemed with perishable things, but with the precious blood of Jesus.

This week, Jesus gives strong warnings about hypocrisy. He’ll also remind us that whatever we conceal, God will eventually reveal. We’ll learn what a healthy fear of God looks like, and we’ll finish up with another warning as we examining the greed of the rich fool.

As we close out Luke chapter 11, Jesus gives multiple warnings (woes) to the religious leaders and experts of the Law. When a Pharisee invited Jesus to a meal, he was more concerned about Jesus not washing His hands than enjoying fellowship with the Son of God. Jesus teaches them a lesson on maintaining a clean heart, rather than status and rituals.

This message titled, "Lord, Teach Us to Pray" outlines the essential principles of effective communication with God, emphasizing the need for persistence, humility, and relationship over religious rituals. Using the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6 and Luke 18:1-14, this message identifies the “how to” along with spiritual hindrances like sin, pride and unforgiveness. We also examine practical strategies for maintaining a lifestyle of continual prayer. As believers we are encouraged to seek God’s will, trusting that a heart of prayer leads to a deeper relationship with the Father.

This week, Jesus will defend His claim of having divine authority. He will also challenge the skeptics thinking that a person can remain spiritually neutral. Then, He will tell all of us that if we can’t perceive the things of God in front of us, it may be because we are spiritually blind!

At the end of Luke chapter 10, we see how two sisters responded differently to Jesus. As chapter 11 begins, Jesus teaches us how to be persistent in our prayers.
