Listen Later

Calvin Coolidge delivered his inaugural address on March 4th, 1925. Read by Yuvraj Singh. Calvin Coolidge served out his partial first term before being elected as president. After the scandals that rocked Harding’s term, Coolidge served as a calming and rehabilitative president, restoring faith to the White House. He was famous for not talking more than needed (though he still gave a 4,000 word long inaugural address), earning him the nickname “Silent Cal”.

The cover art is an 1932 portrait of Calvin Coolidge by Charles Sydney Hopkinson.
