A discussion about Calvinism, working through the concept of TULIP, the elect, predestination, and other common questions.
Discussion Questions:
1. In your own words, what is Calvinism or your personal view?
2. Can you explain the concept of “TULIP”?
3. According to your interpretation of Scripture, who are the “elect”? Did Jesus die for everybody? And are all unbelievers able to respond to the Gospel when they hear it?
4. Continuing from who the elect are, what is predestination?
5. I know many people have the idea that Calvinism removes the “free will” aspect. Can you speak to that or explain your view?
6. On the idea of perseverance of the saints, you believe someone cannot lose their salvation. What would you say about someone who has been saved and walking closely with God their entire lives, but falls away because of a personal tragedy?
