As we turn out thoughts again to the 16th Century Protestant Reformation we naturally think about men such as Luther and Calvin. However, they were men who benefitted greatly from their godly wives. Idelette Calvin (de Bure) is not well known but she was, in Calvin's words, 'his closest companion'.
