In this show, host J.B. Adams interviews Cameron Dawson, who currently serves as Chief Market Strategist at Field Point Private, a boutique private bank and wealth advisory firm that seeks to emulate the large, established institutions, but to serve as an alternative.
Her first exposure to business came when, as a teenager, she moved to Miami to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer. After spending a year at UCF, she enrolled at Rollins College and participated in the 3:2 program to complete her MBA at Crummer. As a part of EAMBA 17, Ms. Dawson focused on the finance track with help from Dr. Clay Singleton.
After graduating, she received the Edward Moses scholarship, studied to take the CFA, and landed her role with Bank of America where she ultimately served as Director, Senior Equity Analyst in the Chief Investment Office.
The first half of the show is the Crummer Connections interview first broadcast in the fall of 2020. Listen as Cameron Dawson shares:
● The foundations of business she learned through her career in ballet
● How she found a new passion for finance through Crummer
● Her journey as she broke into the finance scene in New York City
● Advice for other Crummer alumni on paying it forward
In the second half of the show, a panel of Crummer alumni and students interact with Ms. Dawson to learn more about her career in finance. The panel consists of Clara Mount (MBA’20), Gerardo Abril (MBA’20), Regan Gunter (MBA ’22), and Kyle Sawyer (MBA’22).
