One thing Cameron Kasky saw, traveling around the country, is that people, from both sides, lack a proficient understanding of the issues he or she may be passionate about. After being thrust into a national conversation that hit so close to home, he realized he would be forced to engage in conversations with adults and he would fall short. Not because of lack of passion, but because of lack of critical knowledge on the issue. Based on the aforementioned, Kasky is starting "Middle Ground." "Middle Ground" is a 501(c3) aimed at educating the youth on all types of political topics. Kasky sat down with BUILD to discuss his new organization.
