Next to Bob and King the USMC Scout dog is a bush that we turned into a tree. The "tree" has purple blossoms. Its plaque reads "Dedicated to all veterans who shed blood for their country." MGySgt Glenn Denton and probably half of Camp Hamilton who served in combat earned Purple Hearts. In Glenn's 44-man platoon in 1969, every single Marine was wounded in a five-day period. 16 were killed.
