Indian textile-making is a vibrant tapestry of tradition, innovation, and cultural significance that spans millennia. Our 5000-year-old textile-making heritage encompasses an array of cultural signposts, with multiple touch points where the flesh and blood of the artisan’s hand meets the coarse and smooth of the fabric. The lives of our people are interwoven with the threads of their livelihood, caste, faith, and trade. In this special episode of Campus Cast, our student team presents a marvellously imagined immersion in our layered relationship with textiles.
