Campus Update: Career Events, Sports Highlights, NY Film Festival & Weather for September 29–October 6
Hey Bobcats, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for September 29 through October 6. Let's get you set for the week—fast.
First up—the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy is hosting an information table today, Monday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Palladium Lobby, 133 East 13th Street. If you're considering a career in public policy, swing by to learn more.
Next—the LinkedIn Rock Your Profile virtual session is also today, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. This is a great opportunity to enhance your LinkedIn presence. Register online to secure your spot.
And don't forget—the International Student Career Academy kicks off today with "Design Your Life Part 1" from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wasserman Union Square, Presentation Room A. This session is tailored to help international students navigate their career paths.
Over the weekend, our women's golf team competed at the Williams College Fall Invitational in Williamstown, Massachusetts. While the official results aren't in yet, the team has been showing strong performances this season. Looking ahead, the men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the Paul Short Invite at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Friday, October 3. The 63rd New York Film Festival is in full swing, running from September 26 to October 13. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the festival features a range of films, including Luca Guadagnino's "After the Hunt" as the opening night film and Bradley Cooper's "Is This Thing On?" as the closing night film. It's a fantastic opportunity to catch some groundbreaking cinema right here in the city.
This week in New York City, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the high 60s to low 80s. Notably, Wednesday will be breezy and not as warm, marking the start of a cooler stretch. Pack a light jacket if you're heading out in the evenings.
