What's up guys, welcome back to this podcast. I'm so glad that you have tuned in to listen today I want to talk about cyberpunk I did rent the game. Yes, rentals are rare. But I rented the game. And I took it home and I popped it in it was to disk. And that was kind of surprising when I popped cyberpunk in and I popped it in. And it ran a huge update, I mean, a huge update. So I got this about five days after release. So I guess they had some time to patch, at least some of it to get it to the point where it was playable. So I turned it on. And this is on a ps4 Pro. And I turned it on, and it actually worked. Now this was the beginning. Now once you got into this city, you could start seeing texture pop outs, a lot of characters look like Barbie dolls. I think the Barbie dolls is kind of like what threw me off. When it came to this game. None of those characters seem real. They didn't have any voice acting when I was in the bar area. And I was trying to talk to them. It just wasn't, it didn't feel real. And I feel like if if if they had more time, they would have just released a year later and not push themselves. It would have been a lot better release. And I know there's pressure out there to to maintain those release dates. And we've all heard release dates, and how they can have an impact on you. And I think we need to make sure that we aren't pushing companies to do this too often. I know this could have been a really great game, they're probably going to go back they're going to patch this up. But this morning to correct incredible news. It gets pulled from the store. And it's gone. And that is what happens this morning is that it's no longer than PlayStation Store. Sony pulled it. I've never seen that before. And if it's happened, I not aware of it. But that is one of the most crazy things I've ever seen, especially a game of this caliber being released. Going to make a billion dollars and it's gone and their shares plummet today, and they lose over a billion dollars from this game. I think this took a turn very fast. They were all ready for this. They were ready to go CD, and it all fell apart. So I think the crux of the matter is, you need to be very smart about your releases game companies. You can't be putting garbage out there. This is not the days where you can release Assassin's Creed Unity, like Ubisoft did. Now. I will say this, Ubisoft have corrected all their issues, they released some phenomenal games this past year. immortals, watchdogs, Assassin's Creed to hell, and not many issues with those games is they turned out very well. And I think I'm very excited about their Far Cry game coming out. And that's the type of things you have to do as a company, Ubisoft even giving out free games on their platform. Same thing kind of going down that route and trying to figure out ways to continually improve and get to that point where you are continually helping people. When it comes to releasing updates. Being a partner, you got to be a partner, as a company, you can't go out there and release a game is a mess and expect people to be happy. That is not how it works. It's not like the old days where you're releasing in 64 game, you never have to touch it again. Those days are over my friends, you have to really be thinking about updates. But the last big release I can think of that absolutely fell apart before Fallout. So it goes Fallout New Vegas, which was a nightmare when it was first released. I remember it was terrible. That was one of the worst releases ever. And then they patched it and got it updated. And finally it got to that point where it was ready to go.
Then
you had a major release, Assassin's Creed, unity. And that ended up being complete mess. That game had the same issues kind of like cyberpunk. However, I feel like cyberpunk has a lot more even more technical of a game because of how complicated the game is, how big the game is, it comes on to disk. So you got a company that has their hands full
