One Female Entrepreneur Invented A Line of Coping Candles. Sherrell Moore-Tucker, the creator of MindBody FAITH, a wellness and lifestyle brand rooted in faith says, meditation candles remind you to sit and pause. Grab a cup of tea, journal, or just pause and do some breath work as the fragrances soothe the senses. Sherrell who resides in the D.C metro area with her family, has always had a passion for educating and helping others heal and live well inside and out. So she decided to launch her own line of candles with just the right aromas to calm everybody down.
A proud military veteran, author, and mental health advocate, Sherrell has taught over 1,000 hours of yoga and is considered an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) with the National Yoga Alliance.
Meditation candles she explains, are wellness products that many people are now using during their meditation practice for focus and mood enhancement. Specifically, candlelight meditation is an open or closed eye meditation. Using candles during meditation has been around for thousands of years. The flickering flame from a candle during meditation has the ability to focus the mind, while the aroma from the meditation candle appeals to the senses and the light in a dim room captures your attention allowing you to be present and open.
