Can Discipleship Be Covert? /// Ep 3
"Overt" - done or shown openly; plainly or readily apparent, not secret
or hidden.
"Covert" - not openly acknowledged or displayed
When talking about discipleship, most of the time we automatically think about people on a stage teaching other people about how to do what Jesus taught, being OVERT about the lessons themselves. Or we think about direct groups and communication strategies that revolve around teaching certain lessons.
But can discipleship be COVERT? Can you teach others (and BE taught by others) to follow Jesus with consistency, intentionality, and, most importantly, non-judgmental communication? Can you live a life of truth, love, and grace like Jesus did while at the same time TEACHING them how
to be disciples?
