If Proposition 50 passes California will no longer have anindependent redistricting council. The turf war has begun and now every state will join in. When we have achieved maximum gerrymandering the Prop 50 advocates may end up saying “be careful what you wish for.”  

 Prop 50 is just the tip of the iceberg. In this episode wediscuss some court cases that are currently being heard that will significantly affect redistricting across the country. 

 Of course, in a republic we are supposed to choose ourrepresentatives. It seems the trend is to have politicians choose their voters. 

 We think this would be a lot harder if more people wereregistered as No Party Preference. We can’t stop the devious political tacticsbut we can make it harder for politicians to predict how we will vote.
