Excerpt of the Podcast:

John Kremer:

“I think I still, in my own Self, still seem to be holding on to too many thoughts, and it's almost exhausting. I think for most of us who hold on to too many thoughts, it's very exhausting, and then if we could just, as you said, have the courage to allow for the totality of thoughts, somewhere in there, we start to actually experience the realness of what we are, the Self.”

Dr Louis Koster:

“That is so beautiful said. What an amazing insight.”

John Kremer:

“The part about the struggle or the thought about the courage?”

Dr Louis Koster:

“The part that you are the true Self, so that's beautiful.”

John Kremer:

“For me, a lot of the time when I experience the self, it sort of sneaks up on me and just shows up. And probably at that time, I've let go of a lot of things or allowed for the totality of existence. I didn't know I was doing it, but the self just sort of says, "Hey, notice me."

Dr Louis Koster:

“Yes, exactly. You fall into it.”

John Kremer:

“Yeah. I know you like to fall into it.”

Dr Louis Koster:

“Oh, yeah. So that is very interesting in what you just said. So for some people, that means that they go on a holiday and then, for some reason, they suddenly have the experience of just being there. And then they think that they need to go back every year to the same place to have that experience.”

John Kremer:

“It doesn't work, does it?”

Dr Louis Koster:

“No. Not realising that, actually, there was a moment that they stopped taking themselves seriously.”

John Kremer:

“But that doesn't necessarily mean they have to go on vacation to experience that, not in terms of physically going somewhere else. It may just require that they go on vacation with all the thoughts and simply allow them to rise on their own.”

“And that's its own sort of vacation, I think.”

Dr Louis Koster:

“Yeah. That's very funny.”

John Kremer:

“What part of it is funny?”

Dr Louis Koster:

“So when you go on vacation, you're taking your thoughts on vacation. Well, the question is, "Are your thoughts taking you on vacation or are you taking your thoughts on vacation?"
