Oak Island, approximately 140 acres located off the cost of Nova Scotia, does not appear to be very special at first glance, when considering that there are more that 350 similar islands in its proximity. However, what does make Oak Island famous is that holds an incredible mystery. And what started off as a wide depression in the ground, that a few teenage boys began to dig at in 1795 has turned into one of the costliest dig sites for its time. Some believe pirates buried their riches at the bottom of this hole. Yet it has been more than 200 years and we still have not reached the bottom of this money pit.
